Kalamazoo County Michigan is located southwest Michigan, east of Van Buren County, north of St Joseph County and south of both Allegan County and Barry County. The county encompasses 562 square miles. Kalamazoo County is known for its many lakes, parks, industry and agriculture. Kalamazoo County was the Celery Capital of the World in the early 1900’s and 75% of the bedding plants planted in the country are produced in Kalamazoo County. The county has lots of outdoor activities such as, horseback riding, bicycling, swimming, fishing, boating, cross country & downhill skiing and hiking.
