Benzie County, Michigan
Benzie County is located in northwest Michigan in the lower peninsula and is the smallest county in Michigan. This area is a sportsman paradise. Lake Michigan borders the county on the west with 60 miles of shoreline. Leeanau County sits north of the county, grand Traverse County to the east, Wexford County to the southeast and Manistee County to the south. Part of Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore is in the northwest portion of the county and portions of Pere Marquette State forest is also within the county. Betsy River State Game are is located in Benzie County.
